Drag superstar Tia Kofi and pop goddess Little Boots create magic this week in the form of their new single, ‘I Specialise In Love’ – a storming, house inspired cover of the classic 80’s dance hit by American recording artist Sharon Brown.

Produced by Moto Blanco and released by Intention Records, the track marks the second time the two divas have collaborated, following the release of Kofi’s debut single ‘Outside In’ last year. Co-written by Little Boots, and receiving it’s premiere first play on BBC Radio 2’s Zoe Ball Breakfast Show, to date the song amassed over a million streams!

In a joint social media post, the duo shared their excitement to be working together again, teasing fans with a 10-second clip of the song, along with the caption: “Beyond excited to be collaborating on our brand new single! ‘I Specialise In Love’ is out this Friday! Get ready for some Tia Kofi and Little Boots disco magic!”

I Specialise In Love

Serving as the follow up to Tia’s most recent single releases ‘Get Better’ and ‘Heart Beating’, featuring K-Pop’s first openly gay artist MRSHLL, ‘I Specialise In Love’ is set to feature on the Drag Race UK stars upcoming second EP set to drop this July.

Released back in September 2021, Tia Kofi’s debut EP ‘Part 1: The Damage’ was an undeniable hit – landing at #1 on the iTunes pop chart, and #3 on the iTunes main chart.

Featuring the singles ‘Outside In’, ‘Look What You’ve Done’ and ‘Loving Me Like That’ as well as a clever remake of Celebrity Big Brother star Chantelle Houghton’s iconic “fake” hit ’I Want It All’, to date the extended play has amassed over 1.3 million streams on Spotify.

There’s no denying that 2022 has so far been an incredible year for Little Boots, (real name Victoria Hesketh), following the release her fourth studio album, ‘Tomorrow’s Yesterday’.

Described as being a “coming-of-age record that casts a compassionate eye on youthful insecurity and pledges to stop living life in the passenger seat”, the album serves as Hesketh’s first self-produced project, with its piano-led songs reflecting her classical music training as well as a lifelong love of iconic artists such as Elton John, Carole King, and the Bee Gees

As well as working on more new music, Little Boots will be joining ABBA for their trailblazing virtual tour in support of Voyage, their first album in 40 years.
